How it works
This page was translated automatically, so some wording may not be exact.
Baptize 2027 helps churches take part in baptisms and helps the people baptized take their next steps. Everything works from a phone, by text message or in the browser, in 10 languages, with no app and no account.
For churches
Sign up by text or online
- By text: text our number and answer about 14 short questions, one text at a time: your name, email, church name and address, denomination, website, the main contact for baptisms, where baptisms will happen, and whether your church can appear on the public Baptize map.
- In your language: write in your own language and we answer in it, or pick from a menu of 10 languages. Text MENU at any time to switch.
- Or on one page: sign up with a form instead, at baptize.app/signup. If you start by text, we also send a link to finish on the form; whichever you answered last counts.
- Texting HELP explains what you can do, and STOP ends all texts.
- Churches outside the US are welcome.

Your church's page
When you finish, we text you a private link to your church's own page. The link is your login, so keep it. Lost it? Enter your phone number on the front page and we text it again. On your page you can:
- Your signup: see and change every answer, and read every text between you and our team.
- Photos: add photos of your baptisms from your phone, or simply text them to us. You choose once whether we may share them publicly, including on social media, and you can opt out later. Removing a photo deletes it for good.
- Baptisms: report how many people you've baptized. You can also just text the number, like "14", at any time; the latest number counts.
- Resources: a link to materials for your baptism event.
- Stories: read the baptism stories your people chose to share with you. A printable QR code invites them to write one, with your church already picked.
- Newly baptized: follow the people from your church who are on their first 30 days:
- their progress and their check-in answers;
- a "could use a call" flag when someone says it's hard, asks a question, or has gone quiet for a few days;
- their phone number, if they agreed to be contacted.

Talking to our team
After signing up, anything you text that isn't a command goes straight to the Baptize 2027 team, translated for them if needed, and they reply from the same number.

Share your baptism story
- Getting started: pick your church and give your mobile number, and we text you a private link to your own story page, at baptize.app/story.
- Help with writing: read the advice on sharing a story and three example stories. Then answer five short questions: life before, why you were baptized, the moment itself, a word for someone thinking about it, and a verse. Your answers become your story, and you can rewrite it in your own words.
- You choose who reads it: only you, your church, or your church and the Baptize 2027 team, who may feature it. If it's featured, we text to let you know.
- Post it yourself: once saved, make a picture of your story, sized for WhatsApp or Instagram Status, to share or save. You pick the line it quotes. We never post anything for you.
- Come back any time: use the same link to check on your story, change it, change who can read it, or delete it for good.

Your first 30 days
- Getting started: at baptize.app/journey, pick your church, give your first name and mobile number, and we text you the link to your 30 days. If you lose it, enter the same number again to get the link back.
- Each day: a short Bible reading (one tap opens it), a few thoughts, a question to think about and one small step. Mark it done when you're ready. Missed days stay open.
- Check-ins: on days 7, 14, 21 and 30, tell your church how it's going, or ask a question.
- Reminders: add a daily reminder to your phone's calendar. We don't send reminder texts.
- Your choices: letting your church contact you, and letting your church and our team see your progress, are both up to you.
